About The Ragtime Hostel

Ragtime in Prague is certainly a place that is going to get your interest even if that is purely because of the name of the place rather than anything that it can offer you. However, aside from the name, this is a place that is pretty well situated in the city with it being a mere 10 minutes walk from the Old Town Square meaning it is very easy to get around and check out everything that the city has to offer.

The hostel has a total of 7 rooms available of various sizes from doubles to quadruples and there are also a mixture of shared bathrooms as well as private bathrooms. Each room has a comfortable bed, some basic furniture, and storage space for your luggage so even though it is basic all of the boxes are still being ticked.

When it comes to the different facilities that Ragtime has to offer you then this is kept quite plain and simple so if you are expecting all of the bells and whistles, then think again. Instead, there is a shared kitchen as well as lounge area for you to use and indeed this will often become a real hub and hive of activity as they are both fantastic places for you to get to know the other guests.

In addition, pets are allowed to stay at Ragtime but this is on request so you should not simply pitch up with your pet in tow or that may cause a few issues. There is also free Wi-Fi for all of the guests and they do offer a shuttle service to and from the airport but there is an additional surcharge for using that. You should also note that the staff do speak several languages and they are certainly helpful and friendly to deal with if you have anything that is giving you cause for concern.

Overall, Ragtime is the kind of place that focuses on just doing the absolute basics correct from the outset and for that it should be applauded. There is nothing outlandish or too fancy for this hostel but that is also not something that you should then go ahead and take too much notice of since they do provide you with a comfortable bed for the evening and also fresh linen. The atmosphere at the hostel is also fun and friendly as well and with it being located in such a prime spot then it really does still have so much to offer.
